Advocare 24 Day Challenge

You will consume 5-6 small meals/snacks per day while on the challenge, this should be continued once you have completed the 24 days as it will help you increase then maintain a healthy metabolism.

Don’t think this is some fad diet where you will be eating no carbs or watching your calories so closely that you will not have time to still enjoy your life, this is a program to jump start your goals and teach you how to sustain this lifestyle yet enjoy the FAST results within the 24days!

In your first 10 days you will need to avoid the following foods: alcohol, fried foods, refined sugars, syrups, honey, corn, breads, potatoes, crackers, chips, candy, white rice, cheeses/dairy, dressings/condiments/creamy sauces, dried(candied) or canned fruits, lunch meats, energy drinks and sodas.

What you should be eating during this first 10 days is fresh fruits, green vegetables, salads, chicken, fish, turkey, eggs, lean red meats, lean ground beef or turkey, tofu, avocados, natural peanut butter, and unsalted cashews or almonds.

This will probably be a pretty drastic lifestyle change for most people, but keep in mind that it is only for 10 days and the point is to get the harmful toxins out of your body and not at new toxins. (If you choose to not do a cleanse or you do not need one because you have done one in the last 3months, we will start you on the MNS or MAX phase immediately)

Once you pass the first 10 days, you will move into the max phase meal plan which is very similar to the food choices from the cleanse phase but not as restrictive.

The Max phase is broken down in two types of days, “Burn” and “Refuel” days – on burn days you will be increasing your intake of healthy fat and lean proteins and on refuel days you will be allowed to increase your intake of starchy carbohydrates and fruits at breakfast and lunch only.

I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas and that the time with your families was blessed.

This was my second year hosting Christmas for my family and I try to be the change my family needs to live a long and healthy life! It was yet again a success!
My Christmas day menu: Grilled Chicken breasts, veggie tray, salad, cheesy potatoes (not healthy but a tradition), whole grain tortilla chips & salsa, cheese & crackers and my dad made some home made sugar free apple pies for desert!
It was wonderful a wonderful spread & everyone enjoyed it without feeling the extra guilt you normally would after way too much food on the holiday!!!  (I splurged on some of the potatoes and yes, I even had some pie!!! Everything in Moderation!!)


Now we are back to the daily Grind & M.I. Team members were back this morning!!!

Made it to Monday!

Fitmas was so much fun, that you to everyone who came and did the 12rds of Fitmas and enjoyed Fitmas holiday party! It was too much fun & we will have m.i. TEAM nights more often! :)

For this week we are back to the grind: Classes are limited this week due to the holiday but we will have open gym on Christmas eve from 8-10am :)

I will try to post most of our workouts on the page for everyone to stay on track! :)

2014 Annual Fitmas Party~!!

First I want to say; Merry Christmas and may God bless you all!!

The time has come for our 2014 Annual FITMAS Party!!
 
This years party will be held at the Mental Image Fitness Studio with a Fun PotLuck immediately following the workout at 6pm~ this years theme is Christmas Tacos! So get your margarita cups & Santa hats ready! A dish to pass is encouraged! ;)

Here is a twist to our fun yet tough workout that incorporates the 12 days of Christmas into our "12 Rounds of Fit-mas".

12 Rounds of FitMas

 

6 air squats

4 butterfly sit ups

2 burpees

 

You will complete 12 rounds of 6 air squats, 4 butterfly sit ups, and 2 burpees for time! :) Good luck- Post your times in the comments below!
